Granite stone slabs are big rocks that are used to create granite countertops, flooring and other surfaces. They are available in a variety of colors and patterns.

Granite is one of the most popular materials for countertops, and they come in a wide range of colors and patterns that are sure to fit any style.

Limestone slabs are another popular option for natural stone counters. This textured stone is versatile, durable and provides a unique look to any space.

Quartz slabs are another type of natural stone that is used in countertops. These types of stones can be purchased in uncut form or fabricated on-site.

When buying quartz, it is important to make sure that the slabs are of first quality. If you buy lower grade stone, it can be brittle and prone to cracking over time.

Some stone suppliers provide wooden supports to prevent bundles of slabs from shifting inside shipping and storage containers during shipment. Without these supports, employees have been trapped or crushed when off-loaded slabs shift or collapse from unanticipated movement.

Corian sheets are made up of an advanced blend of natural minerals and acrylic polymer. They are known for their durability and are incredibly easy to clean. They are NSF/ANSI Standard 51 Certified for food contact and have strong domestic and commercial hygiene qualities as they do not allow liquids to penetrate making them perfect for kitchen countertops, vanity tops and shower surrounds.

They come in a large variety of designer colors and patterns that will match any home or business environment. This material is also nonporous which means that bacteria and mould can't grow on it, making it great for kitchens, bathrooms and healthcare applications.

These sheets can be cut, shaped and fabricated into whatever size or shape you need for your project. They are also available in a wide range of thicknesses including 6, 12 and 19 millimetres, most of which are manufactured at DuPont in Buffalo, New York.

Thermoformable and repairable: When heated, Corian becomes pliable and can be molded into a wide range of shapes. It is also resistant to scratches and can be buffed out with a Scotch-Brite pad or orbital sander.

Granite – Hard as a rock: It can be hard to work with and may need sealing but it is a beautiful and highly durable material that is incredibly heat and scratch-resistant. However, it does not increase resale value as well as Corian and requires more maintenance than Corian does.

Joints are almost invisible on Corian thanks to colour coordinated adhesives and a heat process which creates a seamless, strong edge that can be trimmed to suit any design idea. You can choose from a variety of edge styles, from simple eased or bullnose edges to thicker profiles for a more detailed design.

Corian Solid Surface Countertops - The Best Option for Your Home

If you’re looking for a durable, easy-to-maintain countertop option that is more affordable than granite or quartz, then consider solid surface countertops. These man-made surfaces are available in an impressive range of colors and patterns, allowing you to create the kitchen of your dreams without breaking the bank.

Achieve a Look That Will Last For Years

Solid surface material, including Corian, is manufactured by mixing acrylic and epoxide resins with pigments and filler derived from natural bauxite, a sedimentary rock. They are then molded into a variety of shapes, including sheets and slabs for countertop fabrication.

They are glued together, like other solid-surface materials, but the seams are usually very invisible once the pieces have dried and they are matched to the hue of the Corian. This means that, in most colors, a Corian solid surface has a seamless look that is almost as attractive as the design you choose.

A Durable Countertop for Any Kitchen

The subtle shades and designs of Corian make it less likely to hide food stains than other countertop materials such as quartz or granite. This is a great benefit because it allows you to know your countertops are clean and sparkling every time you look at them.

A Reliable Material for Every Family

Despite its durability, Corian is not impervious to staining, chemical damage or high-heat from hot pans. However, you can prevent these problems by using a cutting board and trivets when preparing hot pots and pans, and only using pH-neutral cleaners.
